Tracy Fenton spent his career responding to accidents before he started repairing what was left of them. That instinct — show up, stay calm, take care of people — is still how the shop runs today.
Our Story
From paramedic to body shop owner.
After serving the community as a paramedic for over twenty years, Tracy Fenton's love of cars pulled him toward the automotive industry. In 2007, he opened Fenton's Custom & Collision in Elkville, Illinois — bringing the same calm, detail-oriented mindset from the back of an ambulance to the body shop floor.
Fenton's Custom & Collision has enjoyed serving the people of Southern Illinois for several years since. In the spring of 2015, the shop moved into a larger facility in Du Quoin, IL, to keep up with demand — and the team has been providing the same quality, hands-on automotive service in that location ever since.

Tracy Fenton serves as a board member for the Du Quoin Chamber of Commerce and is Vice President of the Perry CEO program — a cooperative effort among Perry County high schools, business, and industry. Perry CEO is an entrepreneurial, hands-on class where students learn business ethics, planning, and building in a highly involved environment outside the traditional classroom, earning high school and college-level credit along the way.
